Will she be able to sign with Ellen?
American Idol was a huge hit in 2010 thanks to the strong competitors and the addition of judge Ellen Degeneres (who replaced Paula Abdul).
While Abdul has gone on to land the lead judge role on a new reality television competitive dance show, it looks like Ellen Degeneres will be back to go a few more rounds at least on American Idol while she launches her own record label.
AP News reports:
After a season judging singers on "American Idol," Ellen DeGeneres (dih-JEN'-ur-us) is delving deeper into the music business with her own label.
The talk-show host was announcing on her show Wednesday that she is starting a label called eleveneleven. Her first act will be 12-year-old Greyson Chance, who recently became a sensation on YouTube with his piano version of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi."
There's no word on when the label will start. It was formed with Telepictures Productions.
Besides DeGeneres, Greyson has some other strong people behind him: Madonna's manager and Lady Gaga's manager.
Singers like Lee Dewyze -- the 2010 American Idol winner -- and Crystal Bowersox will undoubtedly benefit from both knowing Ellen personally and now professionally.
Will she be as successful as Simon Cowell in the music biz?
As a green celebrity with the LGBT community and so many celebrities standing behind her thanks to doing so many warm, flattering, fun, funny, and friendly celebrity interviews on the Ellen Degeneres Show over the years, fans expect her career move will bring her great personal pleasure as well as fiscal success.
They also are hoping she's be bringing American Idol competitors and hopefuls on her show to show off their musical talent while getting the opportunity to do a little social networking with the pet friendly celebrity.
